ASA contest for young statisticians
for scientific contribution in Applied StatisticsÂ
The Association for Applied Statistics (ASA), on the occasion of its annual conference, announces, through a public call, a competition for the promotion of talent pursuant to Article 6 of Presidential Decree No. 430/2001, reserved for young statisticians, for the awarding of prizes and recognitions to the best original scientific contributions concerning applications of statistical methodology.
The competition is open to young statisticians, both Italian and foreign, who have not reached the age of thirty-five by the start date of the ASA Annual Conference. Participation is permitted either on an individual basis or with contributions prepared in collaboration with one or more co-authors, including co-authors over the age of thirty-five.
In the case of multi-author contributions, the candidate entering the competition must be the first author of the contribution and undertakes to present the contribution personally during the Conference.
Participation in the competition requires the submission of a scientific contribution, in the form of a short paper of no more than 6 pages, to the ASA 2026 Conference, in accordance with the procedures and deadlines established for the conference.
The deadline for submitting written contributions, namely short papers, is 31 July 2026.
